Using CRM to Increase Profitability

Investravel provides mini-bus and coach hire throughout Europe and the UK. With fully trained drivers and a fleet of vehicles it provides airport pick-ups, day excursions and continental tours as well as tailor-made group holidays.

The Issues

The existing quotation system was convoluted and extremely labour intensive. The process involved looking in several different data sources and was unable to adapt easily to fluctuations in fuel prices. Consequently the resulting quotations tended to be based on out of date information. The quotations were prone to inaccuracies and there was a potential risk that the business was acquired at a loss.

The Brief

The client wanted a CRM system which would streamline the workflow process, reduce costs and improve the accuracy of quotations.

Project Overview

We developed a bespoke CRM system which allowed Investravel to produce accurate quotations based on variable current costings. Customers benefitted from a shorter quotation response time which increased the chances of winning business.

Minimising the labour involved in producing a quotation provided Investravel with the additional resources they needed to expand the business. By improving the workflow and reducing system inaccuracies the CRM system gave Investravel the tools it needed to improve customer services, quality and profitability.
