Leonaur is an online book store. Designed for book lovers worldwide, regardless of location, it offers a comprehensive delivery service and supplies books in both hardback and paperback format. It has a portfolio of over 1000 book titles, including many which are exclusive to Leonaur.
As a result of a convoluted search system viewers struggled to find books. This was exacerbated by the fact that books were available in two separate formats (hardback and paperback). The lack of an online payment system not only resulted in loss of business but was also another source of frustration to many customers.
We were asked to create a bespoke website design which incorporated an improved search mechanism, allowing for the two different book formats, and improved the overall user experience. An on-line payments payment facility was also required.
The resulting website is responsive and can be used on a wide range of mobile devices allowing people to shop at their convenience. The books, which are available for purchase in two different formats each with a separate price, can now be purchased at a fixed price in three different currencies. Overall the customer experience has been improved and the website is no longer a barrier to sales.
To support the client going forwards, we created system administration documentation and improved the visitor counter so that it interrogates the system to provide useful and reliable data. Understanding the client base and buying behaviour is invaluable in developing the future business strategy.
